Up-style with decorative fretwork

Decorative fretwork panels are a hot design item for 2014. You can up-style the look of your Ikea bedside tables and bookshelves for a fraction of the price it would cost to buy an already decorative piece of furniture. The panels come in many different sizes so you are sure to find one that fits.

For the last couple of years I have been scanning the US site wondering if we would get them in Australia. Finally the wait is over. Therese Tarlinton has launched My O’verlays out of Sydney and has a very easy to operate online store, with a bevy of different decorative fretwork panels to choose from.

Check out just a few of the finished examples below.

  • Hi I have a section of glass bricks in my living room which I really dislike. I was wondering if the Gigli squares would be an attractive solution. The dimensions are : 227 x 73. Any ideas?

    • Hi Avril,
Without seeing the space I would probably hesitate to use fretwork on glass bricks. This may end up highlighting the bricks even more. If you can email me a photo I might have another idea. Thanks Gabrielle
