I will happily admit that I have several design crushes. My latest is Greg Natale Design. I have followed his work for several years with wonder.
I wonder at how hard he must work to get his clients to trust in his vision.
I wonder at his ability to keep growing and changing his design.
Most of all I wonder at his steadfast attention to detail.
I could hazard a guess and say that beautifully designed joinery is top on the detail list. Considering the smallness of this kitchen, most would opt for a more simple cupboard profile, in a neutral colour. The green is a winner and the elegant use of marble and glass give it such grandness. The cabinet lighting is an ellusionists special.
Wainscoting walls and architecturally relevant mouldings around doors and windows take a perfectly lovely space and turn it into something spectacular. They also allow you to link interior objects. The vertical line in the stair rug marries well with the baluster.
Again, another idea with wainscoting that should be done more often, is wallpapering inside the mouldings. The blending of periods in the lighting and furniture is clever and only works as metal appears in each piece, making that the common thread in the vignette.
Enough gushing for one day.
